The Peacemaker Program, Inc. is a
non-profit agency offering a wide array of services, including
mediation, dispute resolution training, child advocacy, and more. All
programs utilize trained volunteers, and rely on state and local funding
sources, grants and support from individuals like you!
The
Peacemaker Program, Inc. is headquartered in the city of Utica, Oneida
County, New York and is the court recognized Community Dispute
Resolution Center for Oneida County. The program was founded in 1994 to
respond to a growing community need for juvenile delinquency prevention
and conflict resolution services. In 1995, the agency brought the state
and nationally affiliated Court Appointed Special Advocate Program for
abused and neglected children to Oneida and Herkimer Counties. In 2001,
the agency became the designated dispute resolution center for Oneida
County, by the New York State Unified Court System. The Peacemaker
Program, Inc provides mediation and arbitration services in over 25
different mediation programs, including Family Mediation Services:
Custody, Visitation and Support, Divorce, Parent Child and Elder
Mediations.
Other than our
mediation services, The Peacemaker Program, Inc. also provides
customized Conflict Resolution Trainings and Adventure Programs to
Businesses, Corporations, Non-Profit, Adult and Youth Groups. Playing
Peacemaker
™
is the training division of our program.
Playing Peacemaker™
is a fund generating activity in which all proceeds from the sale of
training programs and equipment goes directly to help support our
various programs.
In 2008 The Peacemaker
Program, Inc. served almost 3,000 people in Oneida and Herkimer
Counties, saving the tax payers over 1.1 million dollars.
